General Directorate: Led by Dr. Ing. Yasser Aliwi and the Deputy Director General. The executive leadership provides strategic direction for all SASMO operations.
The General Registry (Diwan)
The central hub for all official intake, numbering, and archiving of correspondence. Every document receives a Diwan Reference Number for tracking.
Internal Control Department
Responsible for investigating administrative complaints and ensuring transparency. Also manages International Cooperation Office relations with ISO and IAF.
Specialized Technical Directorates
Our technical expertise is divided into 14 sector-specific directorates covering all major industrial and commercial sectors in Syria.
Engineering and Chemical Standards
Engineering Standards: Medical engineering, energy, mechanical, and environmental divisions. Chemical and Textile Standards: Organic/inorganic materials and polymer industries.
Food and Metrology
Agro-Alimentary Standards: Includes the dedicated Codex Alimentarius division. Metrology and Calibration: Overseeing lab networks and the Measurement Law.
